Weltkulturen Museum, housed in three 19th century villas on the banks of the River Main, is a hub of interdisciplinary collaboration.
With its changing exhibitions, events and rich educational programme it fosters intercultural exchange and understanding for other cultures. The museum collection comprises around 65,000 objects from all continents and island states as well as over 100,000 ethnographic photographs and films and a public library with 50,000 international books and magazines.
Weltkulturen Museum is the only ethnological museum in Hessen. Its education department has a hands-on collection available for workshops.
