Translucid shapes that unfold their fascination in the backlight. This characterizes the beauty of the material alabaster, as well as the beauty of many works by the artist
Barbara Beisinghoff. What matters to her is the penetration of material. She installs waterjet drawings against light, creates star tents from perforated copper and creates artist books from home-grown flax. Beisinghoff studied printmaking, art education and
painting in Hanover. She is an internationally recognized and award-winning artist. In the House of City History she shows an excerpt from her wide range of works.
